Kane County History

Kane County was named after Brigadier General Thomas L. Kane. The first inhabitants of Kane County were the Anasazi - also called Moqui (Mo-kee) Indians. Jacob Hamblin built Fort Kanab in 1869. Kanab elected the first all woman town council in 1912.

 Arches national park is in Kane county Utah. There are many arches in it and lots of  tall mountains and bushes. Some mountains are tall and skinny. There's lots of tunnels and arches.

The waters of man-made Lake Powell on the Colorado River form the county's eastern border, and most of the streams in Kane are part of the Colorado River system.

The Two waterfalls in Kane,County are Cascade Falls, and The Falls.

Animals in Kane county utah

There are many different kinds of animals in Kane County Utah. Hummingbirds is one of them.
